LAST WEEK'S ROUND UP: Business developed as early as 
Wednesday last week starting first in the South and finishing 
up in the North on Thursday. The full Southern live range was 
$119 to $124, mostly $124, fully steady with the prior week's 
weighted averages. The Northern dressed range was from $197 
to $199.50, mostly $199, generally steady with the prior 
week's weighted average, basis Nebraska. According to the 
Friday afternoon Mandatory reports weekly trade volumes were 
as follows: KS 22,132; NE 27,282; TX 4,381; IA 30,276; CO not 
available due to confidentiality.

DTN MORNING COMMENTS:  The country is typically quiet this 
morning with bids and asking prices not established as of yet. 
Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until the 
second half of the week. Beef cutouts are expected to be lower 
with generally light box movement. 

For the week ending January 18, 2020, Imported Beef Passed for 
Entry in the U.S. totaled 39,356, 105.06% of the previous week 
and 126.39% of the 4-week average.
